Broken for String Orchestra: “Broken” was commissioned by Yasar University, Chamber Orchestra in 2015. The work is based on a paragliding accident of the composer which is resulted by a severe recovery period. Each section of the work portrays a specific event or state of mind and emotion with the titles such as: “Premonition”, “In the Air”, “Dance of the Fool”, “Through the Chaos” and “The Fall”… “Broken” was conducted by İbrahim Yazıcı on the 20th of October 2015 in İzmir, Turkey. The revised version for string orchestra and percussions was performed by Bursa Regional State Orchestra (the recording of this version will soon be broadcasted).
